Date of Birth : Dec 13th 1930

Place of Birth: Pandharpur, Maharashtra, India

CHILDHOOD: His father was a Post Master. He spent his first two years with his father at Chandrapur . With his Fathers transfer to Vadodara, he stayed there for the next Five Years. At his age of 5, he then stayed at WARDHA in 1935 till 1947 during which he completed his School and was RANKED among first 10 students in the entire STATE.
He thus did his schooling in 1947 from Wardha Craddcok High School with first class marks.

He did his B.Sc.from Science College, Nagpur in 1949 with first class marks

He was admitted to Medical College in 1949 but could not start due to financial reasons. And hence he opted for B.Sc.

He did his B.Sc. in 1951 from Nizam College of Hyderabad.

He then got readmitted to Medical College at Nagpur in 1951 and was Awarded full Scholarship for entire term till 1956.

He thus did his Medical Education from 1951 to 56 from Medical College, Nagpur .

He served as House Officer in Medical College for One Year .
He also served as Railway Medical Officer for 6 months, Passed competitive exam for Army
Medical Service but was also selected by IMA to go to USA and hence could not accept the Army Commission (Major) and went to USA. In States he did his Education. Surgical Residency from 1958 to 1962

He wanted to return to India in 1969 but was discouraged by all the friends and hence he immediately started Free Plastic Surgery and Eye Surgery Camps in India in 1969 itself.
He has since then been coming to India every year and slowly moved to interior areas also in India. So far in India itself he has performed more than 44000 surgeries.

Health: In 1978 he had a serious Car Accident and His Right side was Paralysed. But he managed to recuperate from this in three years. During this three years period, he did Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery in Mexico, New York and Switzerland.

In 1982, he had Larynx Cancer Spread widely with Distant Matastasis and Positive Nodes (Stage IV) and had to undergo four operations followed by Radiation-Therapy with Life expectancy of two years or so.  During this two years of Treatment, he did Residency in Plastic Surgery from 1982 to 1984 while trying to recover from Surgery and trying to learn Esoophageal speech.

He had Heart Attack in 1988 which was followed by Angioplasty.  He again suffered with another Severe Heart Attack in Jan 94 when he was not expected to survive.  This he suffered during one of his Free Plastic Surgery Camp at Ahmedabad.  He returned to New York and had Bypass Surgery done.  Though this has not improved the Cardiac Function at all till now.  At present his Cardiac Ejection is only 18% by ECCHO with serious PULMONARY IMPAIREMENT.

With all above ailments, he still continues his donatory Surgery work by moving around in a wheel chair.

FAMILY: Has 2 daughters and one son.  Elder daughter and son are married and the younger daughter is doing her education.

HOBBIES: Greatest Hobby is MUSIC. He has passed Sangeet Visharad Exam (B.Music) of Bhatkhande University at the age of 13.  He was a regular Singer with All India Radio, Nagpur and Hyderabad. His other hobbies are Sking, Tennis and Flying.

HIS CAMP CENTRE: He holds Free Plastic Surgery Camps at Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Pune, Jaipur, Bangalore, Akola, Nanded, Beed, Jalgaon, Jalna, Parbhani, Wardha and many more such centres.  He helps for corrections of Clelft Lip, Squint Eyes, Facial Scars etc.
