PM CONVENES ROSAIAH-CHAVAN MEET ON AUGUST 1

A meeting of the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra will be held on August 2 at 7 pm in the presence of the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, at his residence in New Delhi.

This information was communicated by the Centre to the Chief Minister, Mr K Rosaiah. According to the communication, consequent to the request of the all-party delegation from Andhra Pradesh led by Mr Rosaiah to the Prime Minister in New Delhi on July 26, the Prime Minister responded immediately and initiated action.

The Prime Minister will convene a meeting of the two Chief Ministers on August 1 at the Prime Minister''s official residence, Race Course Road, New Delhi.

Mr Rosaiah thanked the Prime Minister for arranging the meeting and said it shows the commitment of the Prime Minister in solving the burning Babli project issue.
