Making of Haleem :

Ingredients:

½ kg ground wheat
four table spoons ginger-garlic paste
salt to taste
1 tablespoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1kg boneless mutton
2 bunches of coriander chopped leaves
6-7 chopped green chillies
4-5 springs of chopped mint
two medium-seized fine chopped onions
1-tablespoon garammasala
½ kg ghee; ½ kg curd
1 sliced lemon

Method:
Mix mutton, turmeric powder, ground wheat, salt, ginger-garlic paste and red chili powder. Add a liter of water and pressure-cook this mixture for 30 minutes. Take it out from the pressure cooker and grind in a mixer and add curd to it and cook for another 10 minutes. Then, add the garam masala and chopped green chillies, coriander and mint leaves and cook again for another 15 minutes. In a different vessel, heat the ghee and fry the chopped onions in it till they get golden brown colour. Pour the fried onions along with the ghee on to the cooked mutton and Gamish it with chopped main leaves and lemon slices and the haleem is ready to serve.
