The Vedic Schools or the
Vedapatasalas as they are referred to, are established at a very few places in the state.
These residential schools are run on the lines of the ancient "Gurukuls". The
disciples (students as they are referred to) here are educated and trained on reciting the
four Vedas. With the sacred atmosphere of the Gurukul Ashrams prevailing around,
Vedapatasalas serve a chief source of nurturing the rich heritage of Andhra Pradesh.
