 Metalwork at Andhra Pradesh had found a new
expression with exquisite pieces in itself. The art has not only derived its motifs from
the historic monuments like the Kakatiya sculptures but also has successfully adapted
itself to imbibing the use of the Persian and other motifs.
Today, the metal crafts have evolved into
a whole range of utility-cum-decorative items depicting various themes. The craft here
ranges from plant pots, vases, wall decorations and stationery items of Bidri, Budhithi,
