GENERAL INFORMATION
Invites applications for the following Clerical Cadre pots : Clerks; Typists:
Stenographers: Agricultural Clerks; Data Entry Operators: Telephone Operator.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(A) Nationality/Citizenship
A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a
subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January,
1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India (V) a person of Indian origin who
has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lank, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the
United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar). Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,
Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India. Provided that a
candidate belonging to categories (ii),(iii),(iv) & (v) above shall be a person in
whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A
candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the
examination/interview conducted by the Board but on final selection, the offer of
appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued
to him by the Government of India.
(B) Age Limit :-
Not below 18 years and not above 26 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit :
The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of the following categories by the
number of years shown against each of them:-
1. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
2. Other Backward Classes 3 years
3.Orthopaedically Handicapped 10 years
4.Ex-Servicemen/Disabled 3 years in addition to the actual period of service rendered in
Defence Service subject to maximum age of 50 years.
5.Residents of Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir, on submission of
certificate from the Dist.Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he
had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of
Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir
Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980
to 31st December 1989. |
