Corporate Lawyer
LLB : Under the Advocates Act 1961,
the Bar Council of India laid down a three-year law course for the first graduation
consisting of three annual university examinations.
Duration: Three Years
Five-year law course: This course
envisages study of Law as a social science and includes the teaching of major social
sciences with English during the last two years. The course can be done after HSC and is
intended to provide intensive and full-time education in law.
BSL degree: This course is for a degree
as Bachelor of Socio-Legal Sciences after completion of the five-year course.
MML and LW: This is a Masters Degree
course in Labor Law and Labor Welfare I.E., MML and LW. Any graduate can take admission in
this course. Duration: Two years (4terms).
DTL: This is a Diploma course in Taxation
laws. Any graduate can be admitted to the course. Duration: One Year (2terms)
Note: Only students who have courses are
eligible to practice at the bar, that too, only after completing one year of internship
for which the student has to register with the Honorary Secretary bar Council of the state
where she resides.
Institutes
Government Law College, Mumbai, offer both,
the five year and three-year course, Each of these courses are independent from each other
and are in accordance with the rules of the University of Mumbai. Each have their own
admission criteria. On completion of the three year course, a LLB degree is awarded.
Almost all universities have a faculty of
law. In Hyderabad, we have National Academy Of Legal Studies & Research ( NALSAR)
Universitym Barkatpura, Hyderabad 27 Ph: 7567955-960. Its permanent complex is coming up
in an area of 50 acres at Shameerpet adjoining a lake, 20 km away from Secunderabad Rly
Station. This is a residential university. |
