. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR
EAMCET 2001.
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be
eligible to appear for EAMCET 2001.
Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.
Candidates should belong to the state of
Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as
laid down in the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 and
its amendment vide G.O.No. 646, dated 10.07.1979 of Education (W) Department. Details of
definitions of Local / Non-local candidates are given in Annexure III.
Candidates should have passed or appeared for
the final year of Intermediate examination (10 + 2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and
Chemistry as optional or Vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology,
held by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination
recognised as equivalent thereto by the respective Universities.
OR
Candidates should have passed or appeared at
the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering /Architecture conducted by the
state Board of Technical Education and Training. Andhra Pradesh or any other
examination and Training, A.P.
OR
Candidates should complete 16 years of age by
the date of commencement of admissions as announced by the committee or on such other date
as may be notified by the CET committee and there is no upper Age limit.
GENERAL INFORMATION / INSTRUCTIONS:
The Convener of the Common Entrance Test Committee reserves the right to reject
the application of the candidate at any stage, if (i) the application is incomplete (ii)
the required certificates are not enclosed (iii) the candidate fails to satisfy the
eligibility conditions, (iv) any false or incorrect information is furnished (v) the
entries in the application form are illegible (vi) the application is received after the
due date, i.e. 19.03.2001 by 5.00 p.m.
No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Any change what so
ever.including that of caste/community status or category, shall not be permitted to be
made in the filled in application after receipt by the Convener.
The Convener is not responsible for non-receipt of application by the notified date and
time for any reason whatsoever, including postal delay / loss in transit etc.
MEDIUM OF ENTRANCE TEST:
The question paper will be in "English" and "Telugu". Candidates, who
have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail indicates, who
have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for
translating the questions in Urdu, will be allotted a Centre at Hyderabad only.
COST OF APPLICATION FORM AND ENTRANCE TEST FEE:
No amount need be paid along with the application since an amount of Rs. 255/-
was already collected towards cost of application form, Entrance test fee etc. at the time
of purchasing the form.
Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch Course and desirous of appearing for B.Arch.
aptitude test in addition, should also enclose a separate demand draft for Rs 50/- in
favour of Secretary ,AP State Council of Higher Education,payable at Hyderabad drawn on
any of the following Nationalised Banks i.e,1.State Bank of India 2. State Bank of
Hyderabad 3. Andhra Bank 4. Canara Bank and 5. Syndicate Bank.On the top left hand corner
on the reverse side of the demand draft,the applicant for B.Arch.Aptitude test must write
his/her name and the serial number of the application form.
SAME CENTRE FOR CANDIDATES OF BOTH EM &M:
Candidates of AM Category who are eligible and desirous of taking the test
in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, for Engineering and Pharmacy (M.P.C.) courses in
addition to the test in Biology, for Agricultural, Medical and Pharmacy Courses (Bi.P.C.)
should send both the applications (E & AM Category) together, along with relevant
enclosures to each application in a single cover only, to the CONVENER, EAMCET
2001, so that the same centre can be allotted to them for both the tests. If this
instruction is not followed, the candidate runs the risk of writing the tests in (1)
"E" Category and (2) "AM" Category at two different centre.
