The Karnataka State level Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted by the Common Entrance Test cell, Government of Karnataka for admissions to all professional courses including MBBS/BDS and Engineering in Govt. and private colleges both for free seats and payment seats. All seats in Govt. colleges and 50% seats in private colleges are open to Karnataka students.

The test is held in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology . The test is of Objective type and each subject is allotted 1hr 20 min time.Physics and Chemistry are held on one day and Biology and Mathematics on the next day. State level admissions are made by the Directorate of Medical Education for B.Pharm/B.Sc Nursing.
