ADMISSION NOTICE - 2004
Central Institute
of Tool Design is a premier Institute in Asia to provide
specialized training in tool engineering. The objective of the
Institute is to meet the requirements of the Industries in the
field of Tool Design and manufacturing and to train the
technical personnel in these fields.
The Institute was established in the year 1968 by the Govt. of
India with assistance of UNDP and ILO.
Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission
into the following course commencing from September., 2004.

1) Mode of Selection : A)
Selection of candidates through entrance test : candidates will
be selected through entrance test for PGDCTE. Selection is
purely based on merit in the written test conducted by CITD,
Hyderabad.
B) Selection of candidates sponsored by Industries is purely
based on relevant post qualification experience in Tooling &
CAD/CAM, marks obtained by them in Degree and performance in the
written test and interview.
2) Date of entrance test and centre: 29-08-2004 (Sunday) at
CITD, Hyderabad.
3) How to Apply : Prescribed application form and prospectus
(containing rules and syllabus for entrance examination) can be
had from CAD/CAM department, Central Institute of Tool Design,
Hyderabad – 500 037, by paying cash or a crossed Demand Draft of
Rs. 300/- (S.C/S.T candidates Rs. 100/-) drawn in favour of
Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad, on any Nationalized Bank,
Preferably State of Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar branch,
Hyderabad – 37. The S.C/S.T Category candidates need to enclose
a copy of Cast Certificate attested by Gazetted officer.

www.citdindia.org and the filled in application forms can be
sent to the Dy. Director, CITD (CAD/CAM), Central Institute of
Tool Design, Hyderabad – 500 037 along with DD as mentioned
above.
Envelope containing the request for applications form and
prospectus should be superscribed with name of the course
applied for with a self addressed envelope (size 26cms x 13cms)
duly affixed with Rs. 10/- postage stamp.
4) Commencement of issue of application forms: 06-07-2004
5) Last date for submission of application forms :07-08-2004.
6) Last date for submission of application forms with late fee
of Rs. 200/- : 14-08-2004.

8) Note : i) In respect of
candidates sponsored by the Industries, the sponsoring
authorities have to forward the bio-data of the candidates with
sponsoring letter accompanied by Cash/D.D for Rs. 500/- drawn in
favour of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad towards
registration fee so as to reach on or before 21-08-2004.
ii) Candidates appearing for final year Degree examination can
also apply provided they secure a final pass in the qualifying
exam at the time of the admission and they should produce the
proof of passing the examination well before the finalization of
admissions.
iii) Reservation for S.C/S.T category is considered as per Govt.
of India rules.
iv) The Institute is not responsible for any postal delay.
v) The seats advertised are provisional and the Institute
reserve the right to increase or decrease the no. of seats.
vi) The rules made by the Institute regarding selection and
closure of the admissions shall be final and the Institute
reserve the right to alter, vary, change and / or modify the
rules governing the admissions. Candidates are advised to refer
