.PAPER BASED TOEFL TEST
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) evaluates the English proficiency of
individuals whose native language is not English. Most people who take the TOEFL test are
planning to study at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. TOEFL is
also used by institutions in other countries where English is the language of instruction.
In addition, many government agencies, scholarship programs, and licensing/certification
agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency. TOEFL is administered under the
direction of Educational Testing Service.
The paper-based TOEFL test is given on Saturday. Check the test center list for the
schedule in your country. For Hong Kong and Taiwan cheque your contact local
representative. Same for Japan . Not all centers are open on all test dates.
You may register for the administration date and test center location of your choice by
using the registration form found in the center of the Information Bulletin. The TOEFL
registration fee for the current year is published in the Bulletin. See the Bulletin for
the country in which you plan to take the test.
When you go to the test center you will be required to have identification with you. The
admission ticket mailed to you before the day of the test will tell you what type of
identification you will need. The primary form of identification is a valid passport.
Expired or photocopied passports are not acceptable.
Before the day of the test, you will be sent a photo file record attached to your
admission ticket. You must sign it and attach a recent photograph of yourself. The
photograph must show you as you will look on the day of the test. |
