Relli caste supports micro categorization of dalits

Relli (SC-A) Group Castes Welfare Association has extended support to Micro Categorization of Dalit castes, and demanded the Government to pass SC classification Bill in the Parliament.

Mr. Bhupathi Appa Rao, Association President, speaking to media men here today, said that Madiga and Mala caste people are not considering the Relli caste people in the categorization. ‘Relli caste people are very poor among the Schedule caste, he regretted.

He said the Relli caste people are backward in social, economic, educational, political fields compared to other schedule sub-castes. The Madiga and Mala caste people grabbed the Relli caste’s one percent past Reservation in the educational counselling in the roster system. He regretted the Government was not inviting the Relli caste leaders for negotiations with Madiga and Mala caste leaders on SC classification.

He pleaded with the Chief Minister to postpone the recruitment for various categories and backlog posts , until the completion of micro categorization. He also requested the Government to nominate two Relli caste people as MLCs in the proposed Legislative council.

He suggested allotment of three percent reservation to Relli caste and six percent to Madiga caste, and 6 percent to the Mala and Aadi Andhra group in the proposed micro categorization in Schedule caste people. ‘This classification will ensure the social Justice among all Dalit caste people’ he added. He said to awaken the Relli caste people, ‘Challo Hyderabad’ programme is being organised on April 9 and 10. Mr. Bobbili Leela Kumar, State Secretary, Mr. K.
