These lush green gardens with magnificent buildings, is located in the heart of new Hyderabad city.  It has a small mosque, which reflects the influence of Egyptian-Islamic architecture.  It was used by the last Nizam. It also houses the Jubilee hall where important public meetings are held, Lalita Kala Thoranam, an open-air theatre and Jawahar lal Bhavan.

The State Archaeology Museum houses an independent collection of early Buddhist antiquities.  These represent art traditions of Andhra Pradesh during 1^st Century—4^th Century Satavahana and Ikshvaku periods.  Amaravathi is the prominent site represented here .  It also has copies of paintings from Ajantha and Ellora in Maharashtra.
