influence of Egyptian-Islamic architecture. It
was used by the last Nizam. It also houses the Jubilee hall where important public
meetings are held, Lalita Kala Thoranam, an open-air theatre and Jawahar lal Bhavan.

Archeological Museum
The State Archaeology Museum houses an
independent collection of early Buddhist antiquities.
These represent art traditions of Andhra Pradesh during 1st
Century4th Century Satavahana and Ikshvaku periods. Amaravathi is the prominent site represented here
. It also has copies of paintings from
Ajantha and Ellora in Maharashtra.
